Any workshop in Calradia will vary in purchace price between 13,000 to 18,000 denars. To purchase a workshop in Bannerlord requires a bit of planning before you make the investment. My approach to trade is to focus one of my elder children on becoming traders then setting them up at 18 with a caravan and maxed skill + social stats. As they trade and earn you money, just play the game as usual and let them level the tedious skill on their own. I unlock many parts and use orders to improve even further AND make money. I gather 1 million without even trying, just as a side-effect. A few days ago I started a new game without any smithing. The difference is obvious. I make a lot of money from the loot and prisoners, and trading, but my finantial situation is nowhere near to a smithing How to set up caravans to improve Bannerlord's trade economy. You can set up a caravan by talking to people of influence in a larger town.Caravans cost 15,000 gold and require a companion to set up, but that is mostly to pay for the guards that will be protecting the caravan from looters and bandits. A pre-vassalage caravan will easily survive long enough to cover its costs, and everything after that is free money, not to mention the skill gains for the companion operating the caravan. I typically don't enter vassalage for at least the first two years of a game, as I am busy building hero skills and establishing income sources. DASj.
